Delete your data
Bitepins app and bitepins.com · Developer: Bitepins
You can ask Bitepins to delete the data we hold about you at any time. It's free, and you don't need an account.
How to ask
- Email contact@bitepins.com with the subject "Delete my data".
- If you're a creator, include your TikTok @username so we can find your videos and profile.
- We confirm by email that we got your request, and again once your data is deleted.
Creators can also disconnect Bitepins straight away in the TikTok app: Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions → Bitepins → Remove access. This stops us from reading your videos. Email us as well if you want the videos already on the map removed.
What gets deleted
- Creators: your TikTok profile details (ID, display name, @username, photo, bio), the list of your videos, and every pin of your videos on the map.
- Website login: your login session ends, and your encrypted login cookie stops working.
- Emails you sent us: deleted, apart from the record described below.
What is kept, and for how long
- We keep a short record of your request (your email address, the date, and what we deleted) for 12 months, to show we handled it. It's then deleted.
- Nothing else is kept. Deletion is finished within 30 days of your request, and usually much sooner.
If you only use the app
The app has no accounts, and your location never leaves your phone, so we hold no data linked to you. To clear everything the app keeps on your phone, uninstall it, or go to Settings → Apps → Bitepins → Storage → Clear storage.
On Android, the map is provided by Google Maps, which collects anonymous technical data (such as crash reports and a device-level ID) under Google's Privacy Policy. We can't access or delete that data, but you can manage your Google data at myaccount.google.com.
